What we're about...
Empowering Educators provides professional development resources to help schools embrace diversity and foster inclusion. Founded by a veteran teacher dedicated to equity in education, our mission is to expand educators' knowledge of culturally sustaining practices so every student feels welcomed, represented, and capable in the classroom.
We offer on-site workshops covering topics such as:
implicit bias
racial justice
LGBTQ+ competency
disability awareness
linguistic equity
Programming is designed around each school's unique needs and challenges. Participants learn positive strategies to counter discrimination, modify instruction for diverse learners, diversify curricula, resolve conflicts, and actively create safe spaces where identities are celebrated.
By equipping teachers with new skills for self-reflection, family engagement, and trauma-informed instruction, Empowering Educators aims to transform school culture into one where community, dialogue, healing, and trust are the norm. We believe nurturing inclusive mindsets across staff and building teaching capacity around diversity fosters higher engagement, resilience, and achievement within the vibrant student body.
